About Us

Booking is recommended, with a few tables held for walk-ins every service on a first come first served basis. All of our food is halal. Dogs are very welcome on our outdoor tables.

You can find signed copies of Sambal Shiok: The Malaysian Cookbook, Simply Malaysian as well as our jars of laksa paste and sauces, for sale at the restaurant as well as for nationwide delivery across the U.K. on Delli.

​Mandy Yin is one of the few Malaysian chef/owners in the UK, having founded Sambal Shiok in London in 2013. She is a Malaysian-born Chinese of Peranakan Nyonya heritage. "I take inspiration from everything I ate in my childhood growing up in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. Then I mix it up and put a new slant on it."
